Why buy from me?
You can save the ebook or audio files purchased here on your computer and load them onto any devices that will support them. No encryptions will keep you from adjusting or storing the files as you choose. This flexibility is important to some people who do not like to be tied to specific hardware and prefer to maintain their own digital libraries outside of retailer control. I only ask that you not place my creations on file sharing torrent sites that distribute stolen content. I don't go to your job and do it for free, and I ask for the same courtesy.
What happens if you lose files purchased here? Your download links after purchase are continually active, so you can download them again without even contacting me. If you've lost your download emails and don't know how to find them, then please email me so I can resend your download links. I should be able to respond in 1 or 2 days if not sooner.
Buying novels at my webiste is very supportive of my fiction and business because I don't have to wait to get paid and give up substantial percentages to retail partners.
Of course I sincerely want my readers to buy from the source that they prefer. I realize that it can be very convenient to buy from your preferred retailer, especially when you get direct delivery to your device.
But if you are comfortable placing ebooks on whatever computers or devices you like to read on, then please make your purchases here. See my support page for guidance on loading ebooks to various devices. This is also commonly called sideloading. I use secure third party payment processors Stripe and Paypal, depending on which you choose at checkout. I do not have any access to your financial information. My download service is Digital Delivery App that provides instant access to your ebooks. In the rare event that there is a problem you can email me for help. I will reply and settle the problem to your satisfaction.

Being included at these retailers helps me connect with more readers, but it does take me 2 to 4 months to receive payment for a sale through these outlets and I have to give up 15 percent to 65 percent of the price you pay. I'm mostly happy to buy access to these marketplaces, but I have no control over the terms as a supplier and my rate could be lowered at anytime.
Many indie authors don't sell directly to readers, so why do I do it?
I maintain this small retail website because I have been writing and publishing fiction since 2005 and back then this was the only way I could promote and sell my fantasy novels. At that time, no viable retail outlets would allow titles from self published authors, who now like to call themselves indie authors. The sole exception was Amazon that would let me list my paperbacks, but paying Amazon 55 percent of each sale plus an annual fee made it impossible for me to actually earn a profit.
Coming from this history of being denied access to online markets, I continue to place great importance on my website where I can serve readers and earn immediate revenue. I pay my operating expenses out of the proceeds from this website because I have timely access to the money spent here.
Although it is very nice to now be included in the ebook catalogs of major online retailers, I naturally worry about relying entirely on those channels. Every major company I am involved with could easily change sales terms and cut my income and I would have no say in the matter.
Also consider the situation in which one of these online retailers hits hard times and stops paying its suppliers.
As a bulwark against these worst case scenarios, I focus on my website business. It's how I started and it's where I'll always be. I love delivering great fiction products to my readers. Every sale through this website makes my day because someone chose to spend a little of his or her entertainment budget in my little shop instead of handing it over to a huge faceless corporation that will slowly filter a portion down to me. No one likes waiting for payday. Only giant corporations can set aside their bills for months at a time. Therefore, I always seek to make direct connections with readers so that I can have a revenue stream outside the cages of corporate bean counters.
Please consider supporting my creative efforts directly and purchasing my novels here. I realize many ebook reading devices and applications put up barriers to downloading content from independent sources, but not all of them do, and if you know how to add independent content to your devices, please support independent sources.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
