Texas Hold-Em

This poker game reportedly originated in Texas in the early 1900s although there is no exact information on when or where it first developed. Today, it is an exceedingly popular and widespread form of poker.

Omaha

This is the second most popular community poker game. Each player gets four cards and shares five community cards. Omaha is most frequently played as High-Low Split.

Chico California's Only Place to Play Poker

Since 1997, sole proprietor Angela Harris has entertained poker players in the Chico area at her small cardroom. She obtained her cardroom license from the State of California in 1997 and had her grand opening that October. Back then, poker had not exploded in popularity on television and the internet, but Angie cultivated a loyal player base the old fashioned way by offering locals a real place to play cards all their own. Although her clientele has grown over the years, Angie still likes to think of her cardroom as Chico ’s best kept secret.
